Obligations towards the Regulator

Natural gas companies which have received a PUC licence for any type of regulated public services must regularly inform the Regulator about their activities in accordance with General Regulations Regarding Information to be Submitted approved by the Regulator's decision No 1/42 of 21 December 2017 and Regulations Regarding Information to be Submitted in the Energy Sector approved by the Regulator's decision No 1/36 of 21 December 2017.

When performing the functions determined by the Law on Regulators of Public Utilities, the Regulator is entitled to request and receive, without hindrance, the information required for the performance of its tasks, regardless of the security grading thereof. The Regulator may request the information from the providers and users of public utilities, from the state and local government institutions, as well as from officials.

A provider of public utilities (company) shall, within the time period and in accordance with the procedures stipulated by the Regulator, submit the information requested by the Regulator.

A provider of public utilities shall provide the Regulator free access to:

  • all information regarding the public utilities;
  • the necessary information regarding other types of commercial activities;
  • the opportunity for the Regulator to familiarise itself with the accounting documents of the provider of public utilities.


A provider of public utilities shall ensure the opportunity for the Regulator to carry out the inspection and control required for the performance of the public utility regulatory functions, as well as an opportunity to access the equipment and measuring instruments, observing safety requirements.
