The public consultation of the Public Utilities Commission of Latvia (PUC) on two regulatory enactments has now been concluded:
- Regulations Regarding the Use of the Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage Facility.
- Methodology for Calculation of Natural Gas Storage System Service Tariffs.
Overall, we have received several market participants’ proposals and comments on regulation. These regulatory enactments will prescribe significant changes to the regulation of the use of Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage. Changes will include the introduction of dynamic regulation.
The introduction of dynamic regulation for the storage facility – regulations on the use of the storage facility and tariff calculation methodology – is a strategically important step towards changes in the long-term use of the Inčukalns gas storage facility. These are the most important issues, that PUC would like to inform you about and looking forward for your opinion, by organising an online discussion. We call for a joint discussion September 18, 2020.
Format: Online, Microsoft Teams
Beginning of the discussion: 10 a.m.
Language: Latvian and English
For your participation please inform us until September 16, 2020 by the e-mail: [email protected]. The link to the discussion will be sent for those who will have applied to the event. The link will be sent on September 17, 2020.
